Backtesting Limitations

Backtest results have inherent limitations:

• Backtests do not account for actual transaction fees, slippage, and liquidity conditions
• Historical data may contain inaccuracies or gaps
• Excessive optimization (overfitting) can produce unrealistic results
• Real-world results may differ significantly from simulated results

Backtrex is a backtesting and analysis tool. Nothing on this platform constitutes investment advice, a buy or sell recommendation, or an incentive to trade. All trading decisions are made under your sole responsibility.

Export Parity

While we aim for less than 2% divergence between backtest results and actual execution on TradingView or MetaTrader, larger discrepancies may occur due to differences in data feeds, execution engines, or market conditions.
